Leaders in Challenge Course and Adventure Park Design for Over 45 Years
At Challenge Design Innovations (CDI), experience is at the heart of everything we do. Our story began 45+ years ago when founder Jim Wall built his first ropes course and zip line at San Lee Park in Sanford, North Carolina in 1980. Jim’s belief was simple yet powerful: lasting quality comes from building lasting relationships. By 1987, Jim had formalized this vision by starting Walls Outdoor Associates. Then along with his brilliant business partner and wife, Catherine Taite, the company evolved into CDI. Today, CDI remains a family-owned company led by Corey Wall, who continues the legacy of innovation and integrity. Our team brings decades of hands-on experience in ropes courses, zip lines, and aerial adventure parks. Many of our staff actively contribute to the development of national safety standards through ACCT International (formerly Association for Challenge Course Technology), the global authority on challenge course, zip line, and aerial adventure park standards. We always design and build in compliance with the ANSI/ACCT 03-2019 Standards for safety and operation. CDI has partnered with leading camps, universities, and organizations nationwide. Our projects include award-winning aerial adventure parks such as those recognized in the USA Today 10Best Awards . When you choose CDI, you’re not just hiring builders. You’re working with a trusted team that has shaped the aerial adventure industry for more than 45 year though course design, construction, inspections and repairs, staff training, operational reviews, and gear and equipment.
